COMMENDING STEPHEN H. GOODMAN
WHEREAS, Stephen Goodman is retiring as District Manager
and Engineer of County Sanitation District No. 4 after serving
the District for thirty-three years as the District's first and
only manager; and
WHEREAS, it is now appropriate to review Mr. Goodman's
contributions to the District and to the community at large; and
WHEREAS, these contributions include planning, designing
and administering contracts for the development of the trunk
sewerage system in Saratoga, as well as in Campbell, Los Gatos,
Monte Sereno, and southwest City of San Jose area; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Goodman has been notable for his desire and
ability to apply sound private business practices to a government
agency throughout the thirty-three years of rapid growth and
development in the areas served by County Sanitation District No.
4;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that
STEPHEN H. GOODmaN
is commended for his many contributions to Saratoga, to the
District, and to Santa Clara County over the last thirty-three
years.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of
Saratoga, on behalf of all our residents, expresses appreciation
and congratulates Mr. Goodman on the occasion of his retirement
from County Sanitation District No. 4 on November 13, 1985.
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at a
regular meeting of the Saratoga City Council on the 20th day of
November, 1985, by unanimous vote.
