COMMENDING LOUISE SCHAEFER AS A MEMBER OF TltE PLANNING CO}INISSIG',;
AND THE PARKS AND RECREATION CONMISSION
WHEREAS, Louise Schaefer has served as a Planning Commissioner from
January 1980 to August 1985, and
WHEREAS, she also served on the Parks and Recreation Commission from
April 1975 to December 1979, and
WHEREAS, during her service on the Planning Commission she served as
Vice Chair from January 1981 to January 1982 and undertook the
responsibilities of Chairperson from January 1982 to April 1984, and
WHEREAS, while on the Planning Commission Louise participated in a
number of specific projects and committees such as the Land Use
Committee, the General Plan revisions, the Zoning Ordinance
teevisions, the Design Review Ordinance, the Housing Element and the
Second Unit Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, Louise has left the Planning Commission to pursue other
interests and obligations, and it is now appropriate to recognize her
contributions to both commissions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that
LOUISE SCHAEFER
is hereby commended and thanked for her years of service on the Parks
and Recreation Commission and on the Planning Commission. We wish
her well in the future and hope that she continues to serve Saratoga
in whatever manner sbe feels best.
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at a
regular meeting of the Saratoga City Council held on the 18th day of
December, 1985, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Callon, Fanelli, Hlava, Moyles and Mayor
Cloverigor
