HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2293 RESOLUTION NO. 2293 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA ORDERING ABATE~RqT OF A PUBLIC NUISANCE BY REMOVAL OF HAZARDOUS WKEDS ~,-the Saratoga City Council has declared hazardous weeds growing on certain properties-to be a public nuisance by resolution dated November 20, 1985, and %~EPiAS,I. the County Building Official did give notice to all property owners of land on which h~zardous weeds which have been declared public nuisance are growing, and ~,.~a public hearing on said notice was held on December 18, 1985, and '~, final action on any protests or objections to the proposed removal of weeds has been made by the City Council, including the removal of Parcel #397-28-043 from the.list of-parcels requiring weed abatement. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED THAT the County Building Official shall cause the abatement of hazardous weeds as designated by resolution dated November 20, 1985, with the exception of Parcel #397-28-043, by having said weeds destroyed or removed, and ,any property owner shall have the right to destroy or remove such weeds himself, or have.' the same destroyed or removed at his own expense, provided that such weeds shall have.~lbeen removed prior to the arrival of the County Building Official or his authorizedlrepresentative to remove them. The above~ and ,foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Saratoga at a regular meeting held on the 18th day of December, 1985, bY the fol lowing ,vote: AYES: Co~Cilmembers Callon,-Fanelli, Hlava, Moyles and Mayor Clevenger NOES: None . ABSENT: None Mayor AEFIEST: Deputy Ci t~erk A RESOLI~ION OF THE CITY COUNCIL ~f ~ ~ OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA ~ING LOUIE LIltS WHEREAS, Louie Lemos is retiring as the Street Maintenance Supervisor for the City of Saratoga on Decemh_er 27, 1985, after twenty-one years of dedicated service; and WHI1RFA~, through his knowledge and skill, dedication and hard work, Louie has earned promotions from Maintenance Man to Maintenance Foreman, and in 1980 to Street Maintenance Supervisor, where he has conscienciously and professionally overseen the day-to-day operation of the City's Street Maintenance Division; and WttEREAS, Louie has faithfully responded to the call to work through many a dark and wintry night during the storm season; and WHtllFAS, through the years Louie has consistently demonstrated an outstanding ability to deal effectively with the public, especially in crisis situations, and has thereby earned the gratitude of Saratoga residents; and WHERFAS, because of his high standards and service to the City, Louie was an award winning finalist for 'Most Dedicated Employee" in the City's first Employee Recognition Program last Spring. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT P,F~OLVED that the City Council of the City of Saratoga does hereby ccamend L01JIE Lilts for the years he has contributed to the Saratoga cannunity in making this a better place for all of us to live, and wisheslhim many years of happy and fulfilling retirement. The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Saratoga held on the 4th day of December, 1985, by unanimous vote.
