A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SARATOGA ELECTING TO BECOME SUBJECT TO THE
UNIFORM CONSTRUCTION COST ACCOUNTING
PROCEDURES PROMULGATED BY THE STATE
CONTROLLER
WHEREAS, Article 3 of Chapter 2, Part 3, Division 2 of the Public
Contract Code establishes alternative contracting and bidding procedures for certain
public projects which do not require the time consuming and costly process of formal
bids; and
WHEREAS, Section 21200 of the Public Contract Code provides that a
public agency may avail itself of the alternative procedures if such agency elects, by
resolution of its governing body, to become subject to the Uniform Construction Cost
Accounting Procedures as promulgated by the State Controller; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that utilization of the
alternative contracting and bidding procedures will promote efficiency and reduce
costs on the performance of public projects and it would be in the best interest of the
City to adopt such procedures,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Saratoga as follows:
1. Pursuant to Section 21200 of the Public Contract Code, the City of
Saratoga, acting by and through its City Council, hereby elects to become subject to
the Uniform Construction Cost Accounting Procedures as promulgated by the State
Controller and the City shall take such actions as may be necessary or appropriate to
implement such procedures.
2. The City Clerk is hereby instructed to notify the State Controller of
the City's election as set forth in this Resolution.

Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Saratoga held on the 5t5 day of March 1986, by the following
vote:
