HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2349 ~LUTION NO. 2349 A RESOLFfION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA ESTABLISHING THE 1986-87 FISCAL YEAR APPRDPRIATION LIMIT FOR THE CITY OF SARATOC~ ~, the City of Saratoga has established its Base Year appropriation limit as $5,961,747 (Five Million, Nine Hundred Sixty-one Thousand, Seven Hundred Forty-seven Dollars); and WHERFAS, the cunulative appropriate changes to the City's population, the Consumer Price Index, and per capita income statewide since the Base Year established the 1985-86 Fiscal Year Appropriations Limit as $9,757,116 (Nine Million, Seven Hundred Fifty-seven Thousand, One Hundred Sixteen Dollars); and WHEREAS, to the best of this City's knowledge and belief, the State Department of Finance figures provided to this City reflect the appropriate statistics relevant to the calculation of the 1986-87 Fiscal Year Appropriation Limit: Consumer Price Index change on a March-to-March basis for the period ending March, 1986, plus 2.3% (two point three percent); Population adjustments for 1986, plus 0.16% (zero point one six percent). NOW IHIltEtX3RE, it is hereby resolved as follows: Section 1. Based on the foregoing figures and the provisions of Article XIIIB of the Constitution of the State of California, the following figure accurately represents the 1986-87 Fiscal Year Appropriation Limit for the City of Saratoga: $9,997,500 (Nine Million, Nine Hundred Ninety-seven Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars). Section 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this resolution.
