HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2353 Git af arataga RESOLUTION NO. 2353 COMMENDING KIMBERLY RENEE WILLIAMS, KATHY KILKENNY AND RHONDA SAUSEDO WHEREAS, in the early morning of May 30, 1986, Kimberly Renee Willjams, while driving in the hills above Saratoga, noticed the headlights of an automobile shining into the sky, and WHEREAS, Kimberly, realizing that something was amiss, took the time to turn her car around to investigate the apparent problem, and WHEREAS, Kimberly and two friends, Kathy Kilkenny and Rhonda Sausedo, found a wrecked car and rescued Martin Boddy from it only minutes before the car exploded in flames, and WHEREAS, the three women also found Mr. Boddy's companion, Tony Matley, in a dazed state outsiderthe car and removed him from the area of danger, and " WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Saratoga finds the acute powers of observation, quick thinking, courage and concern for others displayed by these three young women to be notable and eminently worthy of praise in as public a forum as possible. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Saratoga commends Kimberly Renee Williams, Kathy Kilkenny, and Rhonda Sausedo for their quick, life-saving action in the face of immediate danger; Saratoga, and the community at large, are the better for the presence of such citizens as these. The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Saratoga City Council held on the 2nd day of July, 1986, by the following vote: AYES: Counciln~s Anderson, Clevenger, Moyles, Peterson, and Mayor Hlava NOES: None ABSENT: None /s/Joyce Hlava Mayor ATTEST:
