RESOLLrrION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SARATC~
C~ING JgaN T. BAT.T. ~ CHIEF OF POLICE
WHEREAS, John T. Ball was appointed as Chief of Police for the City of
Saratoga twenty-two years ago, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Ball has now resigned this position because he has been
appointed Judge of the Santa Clara County Municipal Court, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Ball has represented the City in its relationship to the
citizens of Saratoga and representatives of the Sheriff's Department,
and performed other duties in accordance with City ordinances, and
~, the City Council appreciates Mr. Ball's readiness to serve as
Chief of Police, particularly in the first ten years of his tenure, when
he was often called upon to act in his official capacity.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Saratoga commends and thanks Mr. Ball for his years of volunteer
service to the City.

meeting of the Saratoga City Council held on the 6th day of August,
1986, by the followir~ vote:
