WHEREAS, Pat Mahler was appointed to the Saratoga Library Commissic~ in March
of 1981, and
WHEREAS, Pat has actively participated in the activities of the Commission
through her faithful attendance and thoughtful comments during Commission
deliberations, and
WHEREAS, Pat has also served other library commissions by co-presenting a
program on library fund-raising and procedures on the incorporation of
Friends of the Library groups for the library commissions of the Santa Clara
County Library system, and
WHEREAS, Pat has also shown her commitment to the Library and to the
commLmity as a whole by her library-oriented activities in other groups to
which she belongs, and
WHEREAS, the Saratoga City Council is most grateful that its citizens are
willing to de~ote time and energy to City affairs through participation on
its bards and commissions, since such participation is an important means of
making City government more responsive to the needs and opinions of the
citizens.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that
PAT MAfn~
is commended and thanked for her years of service on the Saratoga Library
Commission, and the City Council hopes that she will see fit to continue to
serve the City in other ways now that her service on the Commission is
complete.
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at a regular
meeting of the Saratoga City Council held on the 4th day of March, 1987, by
the following vote:
