I~IEREAS, upon the occasion of the thirtieth anniversary of the Husic at the
Vineyards music program at the mountain winery in Saratoga, Paul l~asson
vineyards is deserving of cov~ratulations and commendations from the public for
its many contributions on behalf of music over the years, and,
IeIEREAS, each year contributions from the music series benefit local health
care and cultural ort~nizati~, end over the years concerts held at the winery
have contributed more then ~600,000 to local charities, and
I4HERFAS, all the programs have represented a great contribution to the cultural
enrichment of the San Francisco Bay area and have provided a unique musical
experience, both to Californians and to visitors to our state, and
14HEREAS, the concerts cover a broad range of musical styles which appeal to
people of m~my different musical tastes, and
gld~, the manaS~m~nt of Paul Basson Vineyards should also 'be congratulated
because of the organizational skill, dedication and continued support which
enebles these concerts to be en event ~t~ich is eagerly enticipated each year.
W~r, ~, Bi~ IT RESOLVED by the City Cotmcil of the City of Saratoga that
the Council extends its sincere cov~retulations to all those responsible for
the past successes as well as the bright future of '~iusic at the Vineyards,"
and further expresses its ~ratitude for what the programs have meant to
Saratoga as a hiSblight of the musical calendar.
