~, Andy Beverett has been a member of the Saratoga Library Commission
since April of 1979, and
WHEREAS, Andy has undertaken his responsibilities on this Commission with
characteristic energy and has therefore contributed much to the Commission, and
WHEREAS, his contributions include membership on the Library Finance Task
Force, servlr~ as Vice Chair of the Commission for several years, and taking a
primary role in the authorship of the Commission's statement of structure,
administration, responsibilities, duties and relationships and
WHEREAS, the Saratoga City Council is most grateful that its citizens are
willing to devote time and ellergy to City affairs through participation on its
boards and caissons, since such participation is an important means of making
City governnm~t responsive to the r_~-~ds and opinions of the citizens.
NOW, T[IEEEFORE, BE IT RF. SOL~, that
is commended and thanked for his years of service on the Saratoga Library
Commission, and the City Council hopes that he will see fit to continue to
serve the City in other ways now that his service on the Commission is
complete.
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at a regular meeting
of the Saratoga City Council held on the 1st day of April, 1987, by the
following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Anderson, Clevenger, Foyles, and Mayor Hlava
