~ING LOIS THOMAS
WHEREAS, Lois Thomas is retiring in July 1987 after almost nine years as
Saratoga Community Library Supervisor, and
WHEREAS, although Lois has served the County library system for over twenty
years in a number of capacities, she began her career at the Saratoga Village
Library, and
WHEREAS, she has enhanced community support for the library through many
avenues, including being an active member of the Friends of the Saratoga
Libraries, and cooperating with the city on special events such as the Sister
City Committee tour, and
WHEREAS, the Saratoga City Council greatly appreciates her service to the
library system and, through that system, to the community at large.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Sara.toga City Council commends and
thanks Lois Thomas for her many years of service and wishes her well-deserved
relaxation and enjoyment in her retirement.
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at a regular meeting
of the Saratoga City Council held on the 15th day of Jul7, 1987, by the
following vote:
AYES: Counci~rs Anderson, Clevenger, Hlava, Foyles and Mayor Peterson
ABSENT: None
