A RESOL~TION CALLINO POP SEALED PROPOSALS
SARATOGA A~ AND COX AVENUE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saratoga,
California, that
WHEREAS, the said Council did, on the 5th day of February,
1964, adopt its Resolution of Intention No. 177, to order the
grading, construction of base, pavement, curbs, gutters, surface
and subsurface stom drainage facilities, and appurtenances in
said City, all as more particularly described and set forth in
said Resolution of Intention;
NOW, the City Clerk of the City is hereby
directed to publish once s week fop two weeks in the Saratoga
News, a newspaper published and circulated in said City, s notice
inviting sealed proposals or bids for the construction of said
improvements, and referring to the plans and specifications on
file in the office of said City Clerk, the first of which publica-
tions shall be st least fourteen days prior to the time fixed for
bids.
All proposals or bids shall be accompanied by a cashier's
or certified check payable to the order of the City amounting to
ten per cent of the bid, or by a bond in said amount and payable
to said City, signed by the bidder and s corporate surety or by
the bidder and two sureties who shall Justify before any officer
competent to administer an oath, in double said amount and over
and above all statutory exemptions. Said check shall be forfeited
or said bond shall become payable to said City in case the bidder
depositing the same does not, within fifteen days after written
notice that the contract has been awarded to him, enter into s
~tract with the City.
Said sealed or bids shall be delivered to the
City Clerk of this City on or before 3:00 o'clock P.M. on the
9th day of June, 1965~ said time being not less than fourteen
days from the time of the first publication of said notice. Bids
will be publicly opened, examined and declared on said day and
hour, and referred to and considered by the Council at its meeting
at 8:00 o'clock P.M. on June 16,

Council of the City of Saratoga, California, at a meeting thereof
held on the 19th day of May 196 5 by the following
