HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2485 RESOLUTION NO. 2485 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA APPROVING 1988 AMENDMENT TO THE SANTA CLARA COUNTY SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN TO INCLUDE THE RECYCLERY AS A DESIGNATED TRANSFER/PROCESSING FACILITY FOR MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE WHEREAS, the City Council has previously concurred in the principles and objectives of the Solid Waste Management PLan for Santa Clara County, and WHEREAS, the Santa Clara County Intergovernmental Council has requested that this city consider amending the Plan to include the Recyclery as a designated transfer/processing facility in the Solid Waste Management Plan for Santa Clara County, and WHERAS the Board of Supervisors of the County of Santa Clara has heretofore approved a Negative Declaration under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) in connection with said proposed revision and approved the amendment. NOW, THEREFORE, THE City of Saratoga hereby finds and determines as follows: 1. The City of Saratoga as a responsible agency considered the environmental effects of the proposed amendment as shown in the Negative Declaration. 2. The 1988 amendment to the Santa Clara County Solid Waste Managmeent Plan to include the Rec~clery as a designated transfer/processing facility for municipal solid waste is approved. 3. Concurrence in the principles and objectives of the said Plan is reaffirmed. 4. The City Clerk is directed to forward a certified copy cf this resolution to the IGC Solid Waste Committee for Santa Clara County, c/o Robert L. Sturdivant, Chief Planning Officer, County Government Center, 70 W. Hedding St., 7th Floor, East Wing, San Jose CA 95110. The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the Saratoga City Council at a meeting held on the 18th day of May, 1988, by the following vote: AYES: ODunciln~rs Anderson, Clevenger, Hlava, and MDyles NOES: None ABSENT: Mayor Peterson yor ATTEST: Deputy
