RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA
COMMENDING RICHARD VALLONE
WHEREAS, Richard Vallone has served on the Parks and Recreation
Commission for over six years, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Vallone served as chair of the commission from
August of 1984 to August of 1988, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Vallone was instrumental in the accomplishment of
many projects of the commission, and
WHEREAS, these projects include the receipt of over $375,000 in
state and federal grants for park improvements to renovate
Congress Springs Park, provide restrooms at E1 Quito Park and a
bridge at Wildwood Park, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Vallone also spent a great deal of time working with
staff on Congress Springs Park and on the Trails Master Plan and,
most importantly~ on the update of the Parks Master Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that
RICHARD VALLONE
is hereby commended and thanked for his many hours of hard work
on the Parks and Recreation Commission.
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the
Saratoga City Council at a meeting held on the 7th day of
September, 1988, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Clevenger, Moyles, Peterson, Stutzman and Mayor Anderson
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
