RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA APPROVING
THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FOR THE PER CAPITA GRANT PROGRAM
UNDER THE CALIFORNIA WILDLIFE, COASTAL, AND PARK LAND
CONSERVATION ACT OF 1988 for the followinq Dro~ects:
1. Improvement of Wildwood Park includinq: expansion of DiCniC
areas, construction of sand volleyball' court, renovation of
turf and irriqation system. Replacement of deterioratinq
and unsafe play structure.
2. Replacement of deterioratinq and unsafe Play structures in
E1 Quito, Kevin Moran, Congress SDrin~s and Gardiner Parks.
WHEREAS, the Deople of the State of California have enacted the
California Wildlife, Coastal, and Park Land Conservation Act of
1988, which Provides funds to the State of California and its
POlitiCal subdivisions for acquirinq and/or develoDin~ facilities
for public recreational and open space Durooses; and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Parks and Recreation has been
delegated the responsibility for the administration of the
Droqram within the state, settin~ Up necessary procedures
~overninq application by local aqencies under the proqram; and
WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State Department of
Parks and Recreation require the applicant to certify by
resolution the aDDroyal of application before submission of said
application to the state; and
WHEREAS, said application contains assurances that the
applicant must COmDly with; and
WHEREAS, the applicant will enter into an a~reement with the
State of California for acquisition or development of the
Droject;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Saratoqa HEREBY:
1. ADDrOVeS the filinq of an application for the Per Capita
Grant Proqram under the California Wildlife, Coastal, and
Park Land Conservation Act of 1988 state qrant assistance
for the above Dro~ects; and
2. Certifies that said applicant understands the assurances and
certification in the application form; and
3. Certifies that said aDDlicant has or will have sufficient
funds to operate and maintain the ~rojects; and
4. ADDoints the Maintenance Director as aqent of the City of
Saratoga to conduct all ne~otions, execute and submit all
documents includinq, but not limited to applications,
aqreements, amendments, _payment requests and so on, which
may be necessary for the com_Dletion of the aforementioned
Drojects.
