RESOLUTION NO. ~ ~' g ~
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA
COMMENDING MARY BETH GANDRUD
WHEREAS, Mary Beth Gandrud has served on the Library Commission
for nine years, and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Gandrud presided as chair of the commission from
June of 1988 through February of 1989, and also acted as
secretary of the Commission, and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Gandrud served on the task force which studied and
made recommendations on the use of the old Village Library
Building and was instrumental in persuading the Council to permit
the Friends of the Libraries use the building for the Book-Go-
Round, and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Gandrud also worked on behalf of the Commission to
obtain additional funding from the City Council during the years
when there was a shortfall in the County Library System budget,
and
WHEREAS, she also worked on behalf of the Commission to obtain
additional funding from the City Council to provide for half-day
Sunday hours for the past three years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that
MARY BETH GANDRUD
is hereby commended and thanked for her many hours of hard work
on the Library Commission.
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the
Saratoga City Council at a meeting held on the 15th day of March,
1989, by the following vote:
