RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA
IN SUPPORT OF THE SANTA CLARA COUNTY ARTS COUNCIL
WHEREAS, the Santa Clara County Arts Council is attempting to
secure a National Endowment for the Arts Local Program grant, and
WHEREAS, the Arts Council seeks the grant in order to implement
a ten-month planning initiative to help Santa Clara County and
its fifteen cities collaborate in their efforts to champion the
arts and marshal for them increased and sustained levels of
public arts funding, and
WHEREAS, the Saratoga City Council considers this a meritorious
and worthy means to improve the levels of artistic excellence,
diversity, and accessibility in Santa Clara County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Saratoga endorses the efforts of the Santa Clara County Arts
Council to secure an NEA Local Program grant.
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the
Saratoga City Council at a meeting held on the 5th day of April,
1989, by the following vote:
