RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA
STATE OF CALIFORNIA, APPROVING CHANGES TO THE SANTA CLA}~A
COUNTY HAZARDOUS WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN (CHWMP)
WHEREAS the State of California authorized counties to prepare
Hazardous Waste Management Plans; and
WHEREAS Santa Clara County and the Cities developed and
approved a CHWMP, which was forwarded to the State Department of
Health Services (DHS) for approval;
WHEREAS DHS did not approve of the County's initial CHWMP;
WHEREAS the State of California has authorized the counties
to resubmit their Plans provided they respond to DHS-identified
concerns;
WHEREAS the County's revised CHWMP addresses these above-
stated concerns;
WHEREAS the Cities and County participated in reviewing and
commenting on the CMWMP revisions;
WHEREAS City has found the Negative Declaration prepared by
Santa Clara County on the changes to the Hazardous Waste Management
Plan to be adequate; and
WHEREAS City has considered the environmental effects of the
changes as identified in the Negative Declaration;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVEDthat the City Council of the City
of Saratoga approves the revised CHWMP for resubmittal to DHW and
authorizes the Mayor of the City Council, or his/her designee, to
execute said resolution on behalf of the City.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Saratoga, State of California, on August 7, 1991, by the following
vote:
