WHEItWaa, Sharon Landsness has resigned from her position on the
Heritage Preservation Commission, and
wH~Paaa8, Sharon was appointed to the Commission as a charter
member and worked tirelessly from the time of its organization in
April, 1982, until September, 1989, lending seven years of
valuable continuity to the Commission, and
W!~Pa~8, Sharon possesses many qualities which have been of
inestimable assistance in strengthening the Commission's sense of
direction during the period of its formation and in accomplishing
its goals when it went into full operation, and in particular,
WH~BaAa, Sharon's sense of purpose and leadership stood her in
good stead while she served as an effective chairperson for three
years, and
wH[Paas, Sharon represented the Commission on a number of issues,
including the village beautiftcation, Village Specific Plan and
the Village Design Task Force, and
WB~PaaAS, Sharon brought an inborn sense of artistry and design
to the Commission, which enabled her to provide graphic
assistance for many special events and projects, such as the
sketches of historic landmarks for the certificates of landmark
designations, and
WBFaaA2, her design sense also helped the commission to oversee
modification or repair of many historic properties in such a
manner as to preserve their historic quality, and
WHES~a8# Sharon's knowledge and skills were supplemented by the
unguenchahle enthusiasm for Saratoga's unique historic character
which she brought to the Commission.

valuable service on the Commission.
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the
Saratoga City Council at a meeting held on the let day of
November, 1989, by the following vote:
