RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAYSTOGA APPROVING
THE LOCATICN OF STATE HIGF~..~AY ROUTES 239 Ah~D 114 BET..;EEN ROUTE 2
AND EXISTII:;G ROUTE 114 NORTH OF AZULE AND ~.iAIVINO FURTHER PUBLIC
HEAKING~5 F. EGAF.DING THIS LOCATION
WHEREAS, the California Highway Commission on October 23,
1957, has indicated its intention to adopt a location for State
Highway Routes 239 and 11~, between Route 2 and existing Route
114 north of Azule, as shown on the attached maps, and the
establishment of a freeway thereon, and
WHEREA.S, public meet ins regarding the oroposed location were
-'.held on April 4, 1957, May 8, 1957, June 17, 1957, July 10, 1957, and
August 9, 1957, after due notice of such meetings in the local news-
papers and at which meetings members of the press were present, and
WH~'EA.3, no opposition to the proposed location, as shown
said maps, was evident at said meetings, and
WEREAS, early determination of said location will be a benefit
to the development of adjacent
NOQ, Ti~CREFOF~Z, BE IT RESOL[~ID by the City Council of the City
of Saratoga that the proposed location of State Highway Routes 239
and 114 between Route 2 and existing P-cute 114 north of Azule,
presented at said public meetings, ls hereby approved, and that
early adoption of said location Is considered to be In the public
interest, and be it
FURTHER RE~0L~D that the City Council hereby determines that
further public hearing on this matter
F~THER RZ30LV~ that the California Highway Cornlesion be
urged to adopt the general route, as presented at said public
meetings, et the earliest possible time.
