RESOLUTION RESTRICTING HOURS OF PARKING OR STOPPING
ALONG THE WEST SIDE OF SARATOGA-LOS GATOS ROAD ON
THE SINGLE LANE PORTION FROM BIG BASIN WAY TO OAK
STREET and, PROHIBITING PARKING OR STOPPING ALONG THE
WEST SIDE OF SARATOGA-SUNNYVALE ROAD (STATE HWY. %85)
FROM PROSPECT ROAD TO 300 FEET SOUTH OF PROSPECT PaD.
The City Council of the City of Saratoga hereby resolves as
follows:
Section 1: Based upon an engineering and traffic study, the
following designated portions of streets and/or
highways in the City of Saratoga are hereby declared to be
congested areas, and the following ~=~me..=~l_~mits.. ,_.~f~ of
motor vehicles is hereby established for said portion of said
streets and/or highways,

Saratoga-Los Along the west side, the single lane NO PARKING
Gatos Road portion from Big Basin Way to Oak St. between 5:00 P,M.
and 5:00 A,M. ex~
Section 2: Based upon an engineering and traffic study, the following designated portion of street
and/or highway in the City of Saratoga is hereby de-
clared to be a congested area and,l~a~rking' of motor vehicles
for said portion of said street and/or
highway,
Saratoga- Along the west side, from Prospect NO PARKING OR
Sunnyvale Rd, Rd, to 300 feet south of Prospect Rd, STOPPING AT ANY

The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Saratoga at a regular meeting held on the
4th of March, 1971, by t~'~e following vote:

Dear Mr. Shook:
Attached is the original of a form approving Resolution
No. MV-27, which provides for the prohibition of parking at the
northerly side of Saratoga-Smnnyvale 'Road for a distance of
300 feet south of Prospect Road.
Justification for this traffic restriction was set forth
in our letter of February 27, 1971 end this consequential
resolution was submitted-with your letter of March 9, 1971-
As pointed out in the discussion on March 17, 1971~ with
Mr. Trinidad~ necessary pertinent curb painting and/or signing
is normally a function of the local jurisdiction. However~ in
this instance since. this matter has been implemented by us, an
exception is being made and the red curbing will be painted by
State forces.

APPROVAL 0F TRAFFIC REGULATIONS
A Resolution of the City of Saratoga, numbered MV-27,
passed and adopted by the City Council of said city on
March 4, 1971, provides for the prohibition of parking or
stopping on westerly side of Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road from
Prospect Road to 300 feet south of Prospect Road. This
resolution has been submitted to the Department of Public
Works for approval in accordance with Section 22506 of
the Vehicle Code.
Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road is State HighWay Route 85 as
defined by,law.
Resolution No. ~-27 insolaf as it relates to State
Highway Route 85 is approved as submitted.
The Resolution shall cease to be operative six months
after receipt by the City Council of written notice of
withdrawl of approval of the Department of Public Works
This order is made pursuant to current delegations of
authority from the Director of'Public Works through the
State Highway Engineer to 'tHe undersigned Deputy District
